Associate professor
Tchai Tavor, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Management at Yezreel Valley College. His main research interests include finance and capital markets, behavioral finance, network economics, the sharing economy, marketing, and financial decision-making. His work combines theoretical and empirical analysis, with expertise in event-study methodologies, quantitative research, and data-driven financial analysis.
Prof. Tavor has published more than 70 academic studies and articles in leading economic, finance, and management journals. His research examines market responses to events, investor behavior, pricing strategies, inventory management, and the effects of economic and social developments on financial markets.
He is the author of The 10-15-30 Portfolio: A Systematic Framework for Quality, Momentum, and Risk Discipline, published by Tavor Press in 2026. The book presents a systematic framework for stock selection, portfolio classification, behavioral discipline, and risk management through the integration of quality, momentum, and rule-based investment principles.
Alongside his academic work, Prof. Tavor is engaged in financial education and delivers lectures and workshops for organizations, management teams, and professional audiences. His principal programs include Investing Made Plain, a practical introduction to financial markets and investment decision-making; The Psychology of Investing, based on the 10-15-30 framework and focused on behavioral biases, investment discipline, and risk management; and The 10-15-30 Masterclass, a three-hour interactive workshop combining case studies, practical exercises, risk-management tools, and implementation of the AGS model.
