Irith freedman has a PhD Education, from the University of Haifa.

Her research focuses on food choice practices and food perceptions in Israel and Japan, in cultural aspects of Japanese art, as well as on qualitative analysis of various subjects in social studies.

She conducted field work for her M.A. in anthropology in Hokkaido University, as a MEXT research student.

Her Ph.D. focused on yound children food-related knowledge and behavioral attitudes.
