Dr. Sigal Naim is a gerontologist, senior a lecturer at the Health Faculty and
head of research authority at the Academic Center for Law and Science, Israel and the departments of Human services, Yezreel Academic College, Israel. Dr. Naim is also a research fellow and the coordinator of CRSA - The Center for Research and Study of Aging,
the University of Haifa, Israel and and board member of the Israeli Gerontological Association.
She finished her post-doctoral study in the department of communication in Ariel University, Israel. Her areas of research are new media and social network sites in old age, digital literacy in old age, leisure and quality of life in old age, elders’ inequality, elder abuse and neglect, including self-neglect, quality of life in old age, aging policy and qualitative research methods.
She is involved in several research projects on family relations and caregiving, accessibility and use of health services by older Jews and Arabs, Ageism and elders' portraits in the media.
